Flower Power

Exhibition 2023 in Giverny France, Museum of Impressionisms

From September 29th, 2023 to January 7th, 2024

This fall the musée des impressionnismes Giverny focuses on flowers in art, from Antiquity to present days. The exhibition 'Flower Power' features around a hundred works including paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints, books, designer dresses, contemporary works and installations.

The exhibition started in Munich at the Kunnsthalle under the title 'Flowers forever' and was enriched with a section on impressionism presenting works by Monet, Cézanne, Caillebotte or Manet loaned by musée d’Orsay and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The exhibition questions the relationship between the artist and the motif of flowers, loved for their beauty but also for their symbolism.
